The inspiration of PSEUDO POEMS A/W 2020 Collection derives from John Everett Millais’ painting Ophelia. It depicts Ophelia, the lover of Hamlet, singing and drowning herself in despair.

In this season, the journey of Modern Romantic takes root in the 17th century. Colors, fabrication, and silhouettes are constructed with theatrical elements. Hues grade from cream to thistle, maroon to firebrick and olive to black. Layers of iridescent fabrics warping and stretching, creating dramatic silhouettes.

By using her unique and feminine design language, MINGYAN YANG intends to narrate the affections and agony of Ophelia into this bitter but sweet collection with warmth and empathy.
